Christmas at Compass

The Sundays leading up to Christmas are part of what is called Advent in the church.  Advent is from the Latin word adventus meaning “coming.”  Jesus comes to us still today.  How will we welcome Him?  Knowing who Jesus is changes everything in the way we welcome Him.  My agenda is changed by Jesus.  My self value is changed by Jesus coming to me.  How I reach out to others in compassion is impacted by Jesus.  How I see opposition and the stuggle between good and evil is profoundly different.  Welcoming Jesus changes everything!!  Join us each Sunday as we move through Advent and celebrate with us on Christmas Eve at 4, 5, or 6pm.

Uptown Village Christmas Tree Lighting

Friday, November 25th:  Live music starting @ 5:30pm; Tree lighting @ 6:30pm.  Free hot cocoa, cider, and good times to start the holidays.

Father Christmas @ Hough Elementary
