Roots Community

Paul and Kristina Boehlke were married in the summer of 2010 after being set-up by the founding pastor of Compass. Paul served at Compass as a Leader in Training, working with youth, from 2009-2011. At the end of their time with Compass they felt that God was leading them to pursue church planting. After much prayer, God led them to partner with Travis Vice from Mosaic to plant a church in NE Portland. The plant is called Roots Community and is targeting the Gateway/Parkrose neighborhoods. Paul and Kristina deeply appreciate your prayers and support as they serve this community. Lux Communities

After 5 years of founding and developing Compass Church, Micah and Kristen Dodson (and their 3 children) were sent to Seattle, WA to plant a multiplying network of church planting churches.  Lux is Latin for the word “light.”  Lux Communities will be a church that emphasizes the truth that God is light (holy, intense, pure, illuminating and so much more) and that His followers are called into the light to be light (1 John 1:5-10).
