Tim and Marily were married December 28, 1973. They have four children – Alisa, Tim, Christina and Ben. They served 12 great years at Hood River Alliance, and then in an interim position in Roseburg in 2009. Marily loves family and music and has her own business as a companion to senior citizens. Tim loves family, church, driving his Miata, and reading – he also cycles a bit. Tim’s passion for the church is seeing each person serving in their unique way & see young leaders raised up. Tim serves Compass as lead pastor as of late Spring 2010.
Steve Carson
Steve has been married to his wife, Lorraine, since 1986. They have three sons and one daughter-in-law (soon to be a second). Steve has been involved with Compass since day one. He volunteers with Grade School children and supports the church with technology. Steve has been a 911 Dispatcher, Small Business Owner, Software Developer, and System Administrator. Steve’s daytime job is as an Information Systems Manager at Applied Motion Systems in Vancouver. When Steve isn’t working, he enjoys playing disc golf and watching (or racing) anything with four wheels. In High School, Steve was President of the local Future Farmers of America chapter.
Chris Curry
Chris & Amber have been married since 1997 and have two girls, Annabelle and Ella. Chris works out of their home as an IT Manger for US Bank and Amber stays home with the their girls. They started attending Compass in 2007. Chris has been on the Compass worship team helping with media and playing bass. Chris enjoys working on computers, watching sports, grilling anything and visiting local breweries.
Nate Cook
Nate has been married to his High School sweetheart, Jasmine, for thirteen years. They have two wild and crazy boys, Noah and Isaiah. Nate & Jazz came from unchurched homes. They both began following Christ 14 years ago and were one of the founding church planting families for Compass. Nate is actively pursuing the hearts of men through Men’s LifeGroups and Alcoholic Victorious. Nate & Jazz are currently pursuing helping married couples through marriage coaching.
Josh Boardman
Josh & Cathy came to Jesus in 2001 after a friend of Cathy’s sent her a letter explaining the Good News of Jesus. Following that, they got married and attended a church in Lewiston, Idaho. While in Lewiston, they were presented with the opportunity to be part of starting Compass. Josh put in for a job transfer and within two days their house sold & he had a job in Vancouver. Josh & Cathy, along with their children, Gracie and Cymon, have been part of Compass since the very beginning. Josh enjoys hanging out with family and friends and camping in the summer. Red Robin is their favorite place to eat as a family.
